Mariano Lucano

Deadman Walking is a serie of collages that parodies a Diderot Encyclopedia to talks about capital punishment. Lucano takes fragments of the classic engravings to illustrate diverse quotations that describes or reflect the way in which States, throughout History, eliminate subjects. The artist classifies and puts into images methods such as decapitation, execution, electrocution and hanging, among others.
